Are you searching for a way to add more ritual and mindfulness into the Holiday Season with your family? Thanksgiving, sometimes a holiday hard for children to understand, is the perfect way to start. Join us for a hands-on time with your children to slow down and connect with the earth in preparation for the upcoming holiday.
The event will include a farm-to-table lunch prepared by Two Chefs are Better than One and each dish will feature Fat Moon veggies. The family-friendly meal will include soup, sandwiches, and a special fall treat. See the full menu below.
We’ll begin with an opening activity to set the tone of the day and then enjoy a special lunch made with fall vegetables from the farm. Afterwards, if you choose to join us, we will stretch our muscles and senses as we go on a sensory hike in the woods to imagine the world as it may have been experienced by people from long ago. During the hike we'll search for natural materials that speak to each family and finally return to the Apple Shed to create a Thanksgiving decoration out of our found natural materials. Together as a group, we’ll share some ideas to continue to add ritual and celebration to all of our houses.
